I come from a League of Legends background as a Master Support Main, I've started up Rocket League due to the World Cup sparking my interest for Soccer/Football games and figured why not jump into something adjacent for my next game I want to self develop in.
As for my Rocket League playstyle, I play with a defensive mentality and more often than not let my team take the lead if it looks like we might double bite. This can absolutely cause suffering when that person misses a crucial touch, but mistakes happen and I'd rather at least one person be ready for a counter attack should a touch go catastrophically wrong.
Right now I am suffering in Low Plat after escaping Gold, and I am struggling to find the motivation to keep playing Solo. I know I'm not perfect, and I don't expect perfection out of anyone. I am just getting burnt out from having to over compensate to win against groups, I'd like to actually have the 40-40-20 principle function and lose games because the other team was better, not that someone makes an own goal and then everyone else immediately gives up.
I want to climb as high as I can for the next few months, I know I can hit Diamond with enough time, but I'd rather try to climb higher and faster. I can make myself available most times, so time commitments aren't normally an issue on my end.
