Scrim Rules & Good Practices
Our goal is to make every scrim fair, respectful, and productive for both sides. These rules exist to keep things organized, competitive, and enjoyable. Please read them carefully—breaking them can hurt your reputation through negative reviews from other teams, and in serious cases, may lead to a ban.
1. Be On Time
Teams must be ready to start within 15 minutes of the agreed time.
If your opponents don’t show up within that time frame (expected start time -> +15 min), you can either reschedule with them or cancel and leave a review on their Curry.gg profile.
2. Communicate Early
Before the scrim, team leaders should contact each other using their preferred method (Discord, Telegram, in-game chat, etc.).
Confirm match details, discuss potential changes, and keep the exchange polite and efficient.
3. Canceling a Scrim
If you must cancel, give at least 1 hour notice, cancel your scrim booking on the Curry.gg website, and inform the opposing team’s leader through your chosen communication method.
Canceling with less notice will damage your reputation. If both teams agree not to play or want to change the format/time, see Rule 4.
4. Changing Scrim Details
Changes to maps, format, or schedule must be discussed and approved by both teams ahead of the scrim match.
If both sides disagree on the potential change, the scrim should be played as originally planned or canceled following Rule 3.
5. Fair Play & Zero Tolerance for Toxicity
Stick to the agreed maps and modes. Remember—scrims are the perfect practice ground to improve your skills, not just to win at any cost.
Be an esports gentle mate 💛 Show respect, and avoid any toxic behavior (sexism, racism, harassment, etc.).
Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unfair mechanics is strictly forbidden.
6. Cheats
No cheats or unauthorized third-party software are allowed—only what is officially approved by the game’s publisher.
7. Disconnects & Pauses
Disconnects can happen—if a player drops out, allow a reasonable amount of time for them to reconnect. If they can’t come back, discuss a fair solution with the opposing team.
Always inform your opponents before pausing the match, and use pauses sparingly.
8. Streaming & Recording
- Streaming: Public streaming of a scrim is only allowed if both teams agree beforehand.
- Recording: Recording matches is encouraged for review and dispute resolution. Recordings for conflict resolution must cover the entire scrim, including all on-screen visuals, audio, and chat, to be valid for Curry.gg review in order to provide an objective and complete context.
Recordings cannot be shared publicly without the other team’s consent, unless required by Curry.gg for dispute handling.
9. After the scrim
Give constructive feedback, thank your opponents, and leave a review on Curry.gg so the community knows what to expect from that team.
By following these rules, we can keep Curry.gg scrims professional, respectful, and enjoyable—helping every team get the most out of their practice time.
